Schaumburg Park District’s Schaumburg Tennis Plus is one of only 41 tennis facilities nationwide to receive the 2024 USTA Outstanding Facility Award for excellence.

The United States Tennis Association (USTA) is the national governing body for the sport of tennis and the recognized leader in promoting and developing the sport’s growth on every level in the United States.

Facilities were judged on the following criteria: overall layout and adaptation to site; excellence of court surface and lights; ease of maintenance; accommodations for players, spectators and press/officials; aesthetics; graphics (including the use of signs and landscaping); amenities such as casual seating for spectators, food services and social areas; and the facilities’ participation in grassroots tennis programs.

“We take great pride in our facilities at Schaumburg Park District. Schaumburg Tennis Plus being recognized for the second time by the USTA for this award is a testament to our dedicated staff and instructors,” said Ryan Gangler, superintendent of recreation facilities.

Located at 1416 N. Payne Road, Schaumburg Tennis Plus offers a variety of amenities, including eight indoor tennis courts, a fitness center and fitness studio, an indoor lap pool, six racquetball/handball courts and a basketball court.
