End summer with a splash at Schaumburg Park District’s outdoor pools before they close for the season.

Atcher Island, 730 S. Springinsguth Road and Meineke Pool, 220 E. Weathersfield Way, will close Aug. 18. Atcher Island’s tropical-themed water park features a water slide, a bowl slide, a wading pool, a sprayground and a concessions area. Meineke Pool features a 50-meter Olympic size pool, water slides, separate diving well and a water playground.

Bock Pool, 1223 W. Sharon Lane, will close Sept. 2. Bock features a wading pool, diving area and a 9-foot climbing wall.

The Water Works, 505 N. Springinsguth Road, is open year-round. It will be closed for maintenance Aug. 5-18. Fall hours will begin Aug. 19. The indoor water park features three water slides, a rapid water channel, water playground, separate diving well, beach-like entry pool and a whirl pool.

Swim lessons, aquatic aerobics classes and birthday party rentals are offered.
