Due to popular demand, we have added three new spring archery classes! Archery classes begin Tuesday, May 2 and are open to children 9 years or older and/or adults. Classes take place at The Sport Center, 1141 W. Irving Park Road, Schaumburg.
Archery 1 - Barcodes: #47670/#47671
If you have never shot a bow and arrow before, or it has been a number of years since you have, then this is the class for you! This is a beginner introduction to archery and archery safety. USA Archery certified instructor, Jim Chelsvig, will teach USA Archery National Training System (NTS) methods. Learn proper shooting form to help you meet the goals for advancing your skills, as each new session will bring new challenges. All equipment and supplies are provided. Participants must wear close-toed shoes. No class May 16.
Archery 2 - Barcode #47672
This class is a follow up to Archery 1 and the next level of the archery progression. All participants must have successfully completed the Archery 1 class in order to register for Archery 2. Under the tutelage of USA Archery certified instructor, Jim Chelsvig, archers will refine their skills learned in Archery 1 by putting those skills into a step-wise process using NTS. Continually developing improved shooting form and shooting from a greater distance are part of the curriculum. All equipment and supplies are provided. Participants must wear close-toed shoes. NO class May 16.
