The Senior Center is located at the Community Recreation Center, 505 N. Springinsguth Road, Schaumburg.

The center is open 9AM to 5PM, Monday to Friday.

Club 55

Club 55 is part of Schaumburg Park District Fitness Unlimited. The fitness classes are designed for active participants age 55 and older. Classes include cardio, toning, stretching and relaxation. Check out the latest program guide for a complete listing of current classes.

S&H Seniors Golf League

SENIOR GOLFERS WANTED: The S&H Seniors Golf League is open to all senior men and women ages 55 and older. The league's nine-hole season begins the first Tuesday of May, ends the last week of September and consists of open play, competitive golf (special events) and chip in pots. If you are looking for camaraderie, improving your golf game and having a good time, call the Senior Center with any questions at 847/490-7026 or visit

Health Clinic

A free health clinic sponsored by the Village of Schaumburg Health Department is held the second Wednesday of each month from 11AM to noon at the Senior Center. A registered nurse conducts the clinic and administers tests, including blood pressure, blood sugar and hemoglobin.

Public Transportation

The Senior Center is accessible through the RTA services, Senior Citizen Mini Bus (call 847/882-1929), "Dial-A-Ride" (call 847/352-8097) and cab service.

  • Bowling League: Mondays and Wednesdays at the Poplar Creek Bowl through May. Regulars and substitutes welcome.
  • Canasta: 9AM to 2PM. Bring your lunch.
  • Poker: 10AM to 3:30PM
  • Pinochle: 8:30AM to 2:30PM
  • Bocce: 10AM
  • Billiards: 8 to 11:30AM
  • Pinochle: 8:30AM to 2:30PM
  • Table Tennis: 9 to 11AM
  • Cards & Gab: 9AM to 3:30PM. Bring your own lunch - free coffee. Kitchen is available to heat or cook food.
  • Bingo: Noon to 2PM
  • Poker: 10AM to 3PM
  • Pinochle: 8:30AM to 2:30PM
  • Bocce: 10AM
  • Billiards: 8 to 11:30AM
  • Free Health Clinic: Second Wednesday, 11AM to Noon
  • Pickleball: 9AM to Noon at the Sport Center. $3 daily fee per player.
  • Table Tennis: 9 to 11AM
