Learn about the life cycle of a milkshake at Heritage Farm at Spring Valley.
High summer is haymaking time. Visitors to this unique event can watch the draft horses mowing the hayfields, or jump in and help with the harvest. They may also help churn butter, make farmer’s cheese and milk the cow. Homemade ice cream completes the experience. Event also includes kid’s craft activities.
Grilled food and cool refreshments are available for purchase.
Parking is available at Spring Valley Nature Center, 1111 E. Schaumburg Road. A free wagon shuttle is available to transport you to Heritage Farm.

Admission is $2 per person or $8 per family of six or fewer. Additional members are $2 each. Children ages 3 and younger are free.
