All men and women ages 18 and over are welcome. Practices are Monday nights at the Community Recreation Center.
The Schaumburg Adult Chorus was formed in 2001, and renamed to the Schaumburg Park District Community Singers in 2006, to provide opportunities to sing choral music for residents of Schaumburg and nearby communities.
A secondary purpose of the Singers is to act as a good will ambassador for the Schaumburg Park District by appearing at a variety of public concerts.
Schaumburg Park District Community Singers have members that are men and women of all ages and skill levels. The Community Singers perform secular music of different styles including Broadway and Hollywood showtunes, popular numbers from the Big Band era, folk songs, inspirational and patriotic selections and an occasional country song.
During the holiday season the Community Singers include in their repertoire some of the traditional Christmas carols, Hanukah songs and a few quirky songs that will even give you a chuckle. Concert appearances occur at a variety of venues including assisted living centers, professional service clubs, summer festivals, such as Schaumburg's Septemberfest and Christmas events.
