Egg hunts, bunny visits and outdoor fun are all in bloom this season at Schaumburg Park District.
Enjoy an outdoor egg hunt and take a picture with the Bunny at Bunny Bash, set for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., April 13 at the Community Recreation Center, 505 N. Springinsguth Road. Other activities include a train ride, moon jumps, games and crafts. Pony rides and a petting zoo also will be available, weather permitting. Cost is $12 if pre-registered by April 12, and day-of registration is $15. Parents and children younger than 2 years are free.
Explore your creative side at Family Egg Decorating Night, set for 6:45 to 7:45 p.m., April 17 at the Pat Shephard Center. Families are invited to bring a dozen hard boiled eggs to decorate—all egg decorating supplies will be provided. While the eggs dry, participants may enjoy a flashlight egg hunt in Safety Park, weather permitting. Cost is $7 for residents and $9 for non-residents.
Experience an egg hunt like no other at Underwater EGGstravaganza, set for 6 to 8 p.m., April 18 at The Water Works, 505 N. Springinsguth Road. Scheduled egg hunts based on age will take place in the zero depth pool.
Cost is $12 for residents and $18 for non-residents per child.
“Spring is an exciting and busy season for the District,” said Kathleen Benson, Bock Neighborhood Center manager and general program supervisor. “We host several family events that are fun for parents and children of all ages.”
