Schaumburg Park District, Amita offering free health screens

Apr 24, 2017

Put a spring in your step with free health screenings at the Schaumburg Park District.

Free screenings are offered periodically throughout the year through a partnership between the District and Amita Health. The service, dubbed the Community Wellness Nurse Project, is made possible through grant funds.

As part of the screenings, an Amita nurse will check blood pressure, perform body fat/body analysis and assess stroke risk.

Appointments are recommended for the cholesterol screening. Visit amitahealth.org/CholesterolScreening to make an appointment.

This month’s screenings include:

  • 4 to 7 p.m., April 26, Schaumburg Tennis Plus, 1416 N. Payne Road (Blood pressure, body fat analysis, stroke risk assessment)
  • 8 to 11 a.m., May 3, Community Recreation Center, 505 N. Springinsguth Road (Blood pressure, body fat analysis, stroke risk assessment)
