Schaumburg Park District is continually striving to provide the residents of Schaumburg with new outdoor facilities that we feel will be a future asset to our community. Pickleball has been a sport that has become very popular across the country. After careful consideration, staff at Schaumburg Park District have identified the existing outdoor tennis court and basketball area at Timbercrest Park to be the best candidate to implement building a dedicated pickleball complex here in Schaumburg.
We will reconfigure the existing space and install six new pickle ball courts, one tennis court and one basketball area. This will require us to expand the playing area, adjust limits of the existing court fencing, install new court netting and line the new playing area. Construction work is scheduled to begin this summer and be completed by the fall of 2022.
The District’s informational meeting will be held 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 5 at the Jerry Handlon Administration Building, 235 E. Beech Drive or via Zoom (during the same time as the in-person meeting). Click here for the Zoom meeting link.
